Pictotree is a tree identification database. The UX design of the app avoids the dated aesthetic conventions of nature resources with bold and modern design. The natural verticality of trees is leveraged in conjunction with bold typography to compliment image with text. Functionality is prioritized, interaction is intuitive and information is presented clearly.
